Orange Tree

In the Garden of Eden:

"And God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the earth, and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.'" ~Genesis 1:29 NIV

Day 17

Things have been going ok. Yesterday, I went to buy more fruit because the day before 16 of my mangoes were rotten, and we needed more fruit. I accidently brought something I thought was $3 each, but was $3/lb.! A lot different! I spent $14 on 2 cantaloupes at 2lb each! I was super upset. The 1st one ended up being over-ripe. So we didn't eat one of them. Mine was ok on the next day.

So far I've been doing great physically. I absolutely love what I eat, minus the frustration with over-ripe, spoiled food, and waiting on fruit to ripen. It is just a totally different way of living.

Ben has been missing his favorite cooked food. He has been getting adequate calories for losing weight. He doesn't want to eat 100% raw at this point in his life, which I'm ok with. He can take as long as he needs. I'm not going to force this way of eating on him. I'm just thankful he was willing to do this cleanse with me. He does want to keep a lot of fruit in his diet even though he will have cooked food again. He is starting to get frustrated with so many smoothies, but would rather have them, than chewing a pound of lettuce.

I will probably continue to eat this way, because I just love how I feel and how simple it is to eat like this.
