Today has been 1 week of eating 100% raw. Things have been going pretty well. My hair is looking shinier than before and my eyes are also clear and bright. This week I have really enjoyed Banana Milkshakes (4 fresh, 2 frozen and 1 cup almond milk) and eating amazingly ripe mangoes.
I feel like the quality of fruit isn't that good. It could be that it is early in the season and fruits are coming from a long distance so they aren't as fresh as possible. I think that might become a road block if I don't figure out how to ripen fruit quickly and plan way ahead, so we have ripe fruit for the next week. That has really been the main issue we have had. I don't crave cooked food at all. I have had healthy bowel movements 3-4 times per day depending on how many times I eat the previous day. I have enjoyed properly combining the food groups. Fruit and nuts together take a long time for my body to digest so I'm staying away from eating them together.
Ben has been doing pretty good considering he was eating about 50% raw before we started. He has been craving cooked food lately. He is trying to lose weight so he has been restricting his calories. He has been enjoying Green Smoothies the most. He has 4-6 cups 2 times a day. (2 part kale/spinach to 2 part fruit)
