Orange Tree

In the Garden of Eden:

"And God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the earth, and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.'" ~Genesis 1:29 NIV

Food Combining

When you combine the right foods together this helps the body to digest them quicker. The less time a food needs to stay in your body, the quicker you can get rid of it. This helps to lose weight quicker, as waste isn't accumulating in the body. If your body isn't burdened with digesting poorly-combined meals it will have more time to renew and cleanse. Eating this way can help relieve digestive problems such as acid reflux, gas, constipation, IBS, and more.

Foods to Eat Alone in their Categories

Starches- whole grain breads, brown rice, potatoes, avocados, legumes, cooked corn (raw corn combines as a vegetable), young coconut, pasta

Fleshes (not recommended)- fish, eggs, dairy, meat

Nuts/Seeds/Dried Fruit- raw nuts, seeds, dried fruit, mature coconut

Fruit- citrus, bananas (combine with dried fruit) plums, grapes, berries, and other fruit

Vegetables- all vegetables, can be eaten with any group as they combine well with all food groups

The Rules

-Foods in a different category shouldn't be mixed together in the same meal.

-Fruit should be consumed on an empty stomach- at least 3 hours after a properly combined meal.

-Wait 3-4 hours before switching a food group or 30 minutes after eating fresh fruit or 45 minutes after eating bananas.

-If you are going to "miscombine" a meal, do it at supper so your body has plenty of time to move it through the stomach before the next meal comes through in the morning.

-Listen to your body: if you feel sluggish or gassy than that particular food combination might be causing the problem.
